My maiden HSR experience

Current temperature- 15°c
Current wind speed- 10 to 20 mph
Damage toll- 3 umbrellas
Chances of precipitation- 60-70%
Urgent item on shopping list- 3 umbrellas

The local climate's turning abnormally chilly when it should be entering Spring this time of the year. Like, Taipei was as cold as 11°c few nights before. Thankfully I wasnt in Taipei when the temperature plunged to an all-time low this month. According to the (unfortunately reliable) weather forecast, this wintry weather would persist for at least 2 more weeks. And I dont know why our rooms have no heater. I go to bed and get out of bed with icy cold hands and feet. -sulks- Pei and i even consider getting gloves lol. Anyways, so on Friday when the temperature dipped, we headed south to Kaohsiung where we were greeted by the warm fuzzy weather :)

'Banana Chippy' shop, both jiamin and peimin bought stuffs there


So they were entitled a chance to try their luck with this machine...


Woohoo! won some coin purse. But sudden downpour dampened our moods (with
the exception of jiamin the kaohsiung lover lol)

Went to visit 2 night markets- Liuhe and Ruifeng, and if you're going Kao-
hsiung for the first time, dont go Liuhe!!! Ruifeng is bigger and has more
things to see

Gains for today! but later became very sian 'cos our flight was delayed...
waited very long...


Cleaners on standby to dash into the HSR and ensure seats are turned around
(huge diff from planes where the seats face only one direction) and aisles
cleaned for the new batch of passengers (us!)


Pei's yoghurt from Starbucks and compensation by the HSR company for
delayed flight in the form of bottled mineral water...

Yeah so thats the end of our 1-day escape to the south. Still, we couldnt avoid the harsh
winds when we returned to Hsinchu. O wells!
