Struggled for 2 seconds before typing the letter "I". Wondering if this entry should be typed in English or Chinese. After completing (omytians) nearing 10 Chinese-written reports this semester...i think i'd need a little bit of relieve from it, hur.
Yup its barely July and im packing up. Returning home earlier than scheduled wasnt in the cards. Its just very unfortunate that the H1N1 virus came with a vengeance, so kakis whom expressed interest to travel with me couldnt materialise their well, half-baked plans. (*looks at J & J*) My two play mates arent free either- JM has been assigned the honourable obligation to nurture our next generation, whilst Pei will whizz off to highly dangerous country K to satisfy more wanderlust-ing pleasures.
So, destinations remain uncovered on my traveller's checklist. The initial disappointment fizzled out as i reflected upon the exchange programme. What's most precious to me would probably be my experience as a Taiwan undergraduate. It isnt about how hard ive played or how much ive toured Taiwan. Not those anymore. My greatest reminiscence would be the times where i could still be sitting in class, enjoying how Teacher A shares his thoughts on academic and non-academic issues, or simply just chatting with Classmate B about school and life.
I could come back, yes. But the familiar faces would have already moved on. Like, Friend 1 is going to find a job in Australia, while Friend 2 is heading to the States for his Master's degree. Really, i think the onus to keep in contact is on us. Then we'll find ways to meet again somehow. Whatever it is, this exchange experience will forever go down in history as a momentous one-third of my year 2009. No regrets :) THANK YOU too, lovely companions, for enduring my nonsense and bad habits like mild amnesia and stepping of toes, along with hundred others. Im glad we survived hah :P
P.s. Hmm theres still photos (mostly taken with teachers and friends) not uploaded. If i do upload, they'll go straight to Facebook. Thanks folks for taking time to read all my entries! :)
